Orange Alerts Issued for Tripura

Agartala: August 24: An orange alert for thunderstorms and heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued for South Tripura district in the next 24 hours. Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for all districts of the state for the same period.

According to the weather department, the highest rainfall recorded so far is 16.2 mm in Kamalpur, Dhalai district, while the lowest is 0.1 mm in Edinagar.

Bhabanipur: Mamata trails, BJP extends lead in Bengal

The Meteorological Department has reported 0.2 mm of rainfall in Agartala today. Other recorded rainfall includes 0.1 mm in Edinagar, West Tripura district, and 9.5 mm in Khumlwng. Bishalgarh received 2.8 mm, Bishramganj 0.5 mm, Gajaria 8.4 mm, and Mohanbag, Sonamura of Sepahijala district, 1.0 mm. Khowai district recorded 2.2 mm, Teliamura 7 mm, and Karbuk of Gomati district 5.4 mm.

In North Tripura district, Panisagar recorded 2.4 mm, Kanchanpur 2.2 mm, Kadamtala 2 mm, and Natunbazar 10 mm. Unokoti district saw 55 mm in Kumarghar, 2.8 mm in Kailashahar, and 5 mm in Kumarghar. Gandachhara recorded 3.6 mm, and Kamalpur in Dhalai district recorded 16.2 mm.
