A total of 469 newly recruited Constables of the 92nd Batch and one Rifleman of the 15th Battalion formally joined the Tripura Police on Saturday after successfully completing 12 months of rigorous training. The induction took place during the ceremonial Passing Out Parade held at the Tripura State Rifles Ground at R.K. Nagar, with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attending the event as the Chief Guest.

Congratulating the newly inducted personnel, the Chief Minister described the occasion as a significant milestone in their professional careers and urged them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and dedication while serving the people of the state. He said that sincerity, honesty, and commitment to duty are the qualities that earn both public trust and professional recognition.

Dr. Saha expressed confidence that the professionalism, ethical conduct, commitment, and humanitarian approach of the new recruits would further strengthen the image and reputation of the Tripura Police. He encouraged them to perform their responsibilities with courage, impartiality, and compassion while safeguarding law and order across the state.

Highlighting the rich legacy of the Tripura Police, the Chief Minister said the state’s policing system has deep historical roots dating back to the erstwhile princely state. He noted that as early as the 13th century, the kings of Tripura had established an organised administrative and policing system, while the present organisational structure of the Tripura Police was formally shaped in 1965.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to modernising the police force by equipping it with advanced technology, modern infrastructure, and improved training facilities to meet emerging security challenges. He said the government is continuously working to build a more efficient, technology-driven, transparent, and people-friendly police force capable of addressing the changing needs of society.

Emphasising the evolving role of policing, Dr. Saha said maintaining law and order alone is not sufficient. Police personnel must also earn the confidence and trust of citizens through dedicated service, sensitivity, and a humane approach while performing their duties.

The Passing Out Parade was marked by ceremonial drills and displays of discipline by the recruits, signifying the successful completion of their training. The event was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Director General of Police Anurag, Home Secretary Abhishek Singh, senior officers of the Tripura Police, officials of the civil administration, and family members of the newly inducted personnel.
