One killed, five injured in lightning strikes in different areas of Bishalgarh.

Badal Dey (60) died due to lightning in Golaghati area under Takarjala police station. Meanwhile, Pavitra Das of East Lakshmibil in Bishalgarh, Kulsum Bibi of Aravindnagar, Chandan Debnath of Champamura, Sumitra Sarkar Bhowmik of Kadamtali area and a pregnant woman named Basanti Saha of Jangalia were also seriously injured in the lightning strike. They have been referred to GB from Bishalgarh Hospital respectively. District Governor Vinay Bhushan Das along with BJP district president Gauranga Bhowmik rushed to the hospital after getting the news. The family of the deceased was given financial assistance of 10,000rs at the hospital. Apart from this, the sub-divisional administration is also with the injured.
