Agartala, December 6: The police of Agartala East police station succeeded again in the operation after questioning the thieves caught in the recent theft case. Thief with gold ornaments worth around Rs 5 lakh caught in police net.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debaprasad Roy said that the East Agartala police station was able to arrest 7 thieves along with various stolen items in a raid a few days ago. Later, the accused were taken into police custody and interrogated. In the police investigation, the name of another person named Jhantu Miya came up. It is known that Jhantu Mia is involved in various theft cases. Accordingly, the police managed to nab Jhuntu Mia from Aralia area by carrying out an operation last night.

He also said that gold ornaments worth about 5 lakh rupees were recovered from him. SDPO Debaprasad Roy said that such operations of the police will continue in the coming days as well.
