No Final Decision Yet on Regularizing Irregular State Government Employees: Pranjit Singha Roy

Agartala: Jan 15: The state government has not yet taken a final decision on regularizing irregular employees, as indicated by Finance Minister Pranjit Singh Roy on Wednesday in response to a question raised by MLA Gopal Chandra Roy in the Assembly.

The Minister informed the Assembly that there are 1,445 irregular employees under the state government, including 836 DRWs, 311 contingent workers, 193 casual workers, and 105 part-time workers. He further stated that the decision to regularize these employees will be taken after reviewing the data collected on the Finance Department’s portal and considering the new recruitment policy.

 

In summary, while the state government is considering regularizing irregular employees, a final decision is yet to be taken. The government is currently reviewing the data and aligning it with the new recruitment policy before making a decision.
