Agartala: August 24: The mysterious death of Kajali Deb (26), a housewife from Dharmanagar Progati Road, has taken a new turn. On the night of July 26th, around 2 am, family members found Kajali Deb dead in her home, allegedly having committed suicide by hanging herself with a saree. She was taken to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. A case was registered under section 103(1)/3(5) of the BNS Act.

Kajali’s parents, who reside at Nayapara Auto Stand in Dharmanagar, were informed. The next day, they filed a case against Kajali’s in-laws at Dharmanagar police station, alleging that they had conspired to murder her. Based on their complaint, a case was registered, and Kajali’s brother-in-law, Bipra Das, was arrested. Kajali’s husband, Bishwa Das (34), who was undergoing treatment at Dharmanagar District Hospital, was also arrested after being discharged and sent to court.
