Agartala September 9: National Lok Adalat held on Saturday. The third national Lok Adalat of this year was held on this day. Approximately 15,271 cases are taken up for disposal in a total of 71 benches of Lok Adalat. This includes approximately 7,467 matters related to pre-litigation disputes. Out of which there are approximately 6,846 cases related to repayment of bank loans and approximately 621 cases related to disputes related to unpaid bills of telecommunication corporations.

Besides, approximately 7804 cases pending in the court will be taken up for settlement. These include motor accident compensation cases, consumer court cases, arbitrable criminal dispute cases, matrimonial dispute cases, check bounce cases, other civil cases and employment cases. A bench sits in the Tripura High Court on the occasion of the National Lok Adalat. The maximum number of 16 benches in Lok Adalat is sitting in Agartala court premises. There was a help desk in the court premises to help the citizens.
