MPW unemployed youths stages deputation demanding employment

Agartala, January 17: MPW unemployed youth met in a deputation to the Director of Health Department demanding immediate recruitment.

They alleged that the state government has not appointed a single MPW post for the last six years. In 2017, Health and Family Welfare Department issued a notification regarding the recruitment of 791 vacancies. The government has not appointed a single person.

They also alleged that currently there are about 1200 MPW unemployed youths in the state. They demand that the government should employ 500 of the 1,200 MPW unemployed.

Deputations, processions and meetings have been held at the health department several times in this regard, but no response has been received so far. So today they met on deputation to the director of health department to demand appointment.

They have warned that if their demands are not met soon, they will join a larger movement in the coming days.
