Deb highlighted that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited (TTDCL) in Guwahati on November 11, 2022. The agreement outlined the construction of ropeways connecting several key locations: from Udaipur Railway Station to Matabari, Maharani to Chhabimura, Surmachera, and Jampui Hills.

Despite the passage of over a year since the signing, construction work on these four ropeways is yet to commence. Deb emphasized the critical role these projects play in enhancing tourism and connectivity within Tripura. He has personally communicated his concerns to the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, urging prompt action.

The anticipated impact of these ropeway projects is significant, with expectations of increased tourist footfall and a positive boost to the local economy. As Tripura awaits progress, residents and visitors alike hope for smoother travel experiences and a thriving tourism sector.
