MoU sign between Agartala Press Club and Peerless Hospital for treatment of journalists

Agartala, November 4: An MoU was signed today between Agartala Press Club and Peerless Hospital for the treatment of journalists and their families. Journalists and their families will be given a 10 percent discount on outpatient and admission treatment at Peerless Hospital. 15 percent discount will be available in case of examination.

A 10 percent discount will also be given if medicines are purchased over the counter at Peerless Hospital. The patient will be transported free of charge from Kolkata Airport to Peerless Hospital by fully equipped ambulance. A 10 percent discount will also be given on medical packages. Peerless Hospital authorities will arrange discount for staying in hotel rest house if informed earlier. Agartala Press Club and Peerless Hospital and BK Roy Research Center jointly organized Cancer Awareness Camp at Agartala Press Club on Saturday. MOU has been signed for the treatment of journalists and their families.

Rabindra Pai, Deputy Managing Director of Peerless Hospital, started the program at Agartala Press Club’s Trital Hall at around 12 noon that day. Besides, Agartala Press Club President Jayanta Bhattacharjee and Peerless Hospital Assistant General Manager Marketing Department Anup Bhakta were present on the occasion.

Dr. Shaubnik Shatapati, Dr. Abhishek Dutta and Dr. Pragati Singhal, oncologists of Peerless Hospital, Kolkata, discussed the topic of cancer awareness at the event. After the discussion, these cancer specialist doctors also gave free advice to the patients if necessary. 67 journalists and photojournalists participated in the cancer awareness camp held at Agartala Press Club.
