Agartala: July 15: In a tragic incident, Supriya Das, a resident of Moharchhara, Teliamura, lost her life due to alleged gross negligence by the medical staff at GB Hospital. Supriya had given birth just hours before her demise. According to her family, Supriya experienced severe physical pain while in the hospital bed, but doctors and nurses failed to attend to her promptly. Despite her screams, security guards and nurses prevented her family from entering the ward. The situation escalated when Supriya was found lying on the floor in critical condition the next morning, blood coming from her ears. Tragically, she passed away without receiving treatment. The hospital staff’s inability to explain the circumstances led to protests by Supriya’s family. Although authorities intervened, they couldn’t save her life. Suman Das, Supriya’s husband, alleges that her death was a result of negligence.
