Bhopal, Oct 28: In a major boost to employment and administrative reforms, the Madhya Pradesh government is set to create 200,000 new posts through upcoming recruitment drives while introducing a single unified examination system modeled on the UPSC pattern.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the reforms during a Diwali get-together organized by the State Employees Union at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Park in the Secretariat, emphasizing that the state’s development hinges on the dedication and cooperation of its employees.

Under the new plan, multiple departmental examinations will be replaced by a single streamlined test to ensure transparency and efficiency. A dedicated police recruitment board has also been established to fill 20,000 vacancies, with the process already in motion. Additionally, 476 new Anganwadi supervisor posts have been sanctioned, and a digital recruitment drive for 19,504 Anganwadi workers and assistants has been launched — the first of its kind in the state.

The government is forming a committee to introduce a unified pension scheme for employees appointed on or after January 1, 2005, aimed at removing pension disparities. A new commission comprising retired senior officers will address salary anomalies, grade pay discrepancies, and designation issues across cadres.

Dr. Yadav also announced the resolution of a nine-year-old house rent allowance (HRA) dispute and assured promotions for nearly four lakh employees pending court approvals. The Dearness Allowance (DA) has been raised to 55 per cent, aligning with central government levels, with arrears being paid in five instalments from June to October 2025.

Highlighting housing initiatives, the Chief Minister said 366 Smart City residences have been allotted, with 300 more ready for one-click allocation.

“As we complete two years in office, our commitment to employees remains steadfast,” Yadav affirmed, calling for collective efforts to propel Madhya Pradesh’s all-round progress.
