Agartala: June 02: In a recent statement to the press, MLA Sudip Roy Barman expressed strong views regarding Tipra Motha’s stance toward the state government. Speaking to journalists, he criticized the party’s approach, stating that a political entity cannot simultaneously participate in governance while publicly demonstrating against it.
His comments followed an incident in the Gomati district where the District Magistrate did not meet with Tipra Motha’s former supreme leader and MDC, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma. This led to Tipra Motha’s decision to close all government offices in the district—a move Barman described as disappointing, particularly since Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha had assured that the matter was being taken seriously.
Highlighting his concerns, Barman reiterated that if Tipra Motha wishes to convey dissatisfaction with the state government, it should reconsider its support rather than engage in public demonstrations. The situation continues to unfold as political tensions persist.
