The streets were deserted. Although there is no extreme deterioration of law and order, the suffering of the common people has increased to the extreme. Traffic and rail services have come to a standstill. Even though the state government ordered the office to remain open, the police administration could not make arrangements for the employees to reach the office. The picketers started the movement from early morning they blockade the road in Khowai, Kamalpur, Sikitbari areas. Opposition leader Animesh Debbarma was present there and he criticized the government and said the bandh was called to demand other constitutions of the peoples including Greater Tipraland. Bandh is going on in ADC areas in the entire state. Thousands of worker supporters joined the strike. The main objective is to present the constitutional demands of the people to the central government i.e. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, the picketers organized a movement by blocking the national highway in Baramura. ADC Chairman Jagadish Debbarman and other leaders were present.

They have been protesting since morning by burning tires in the middle of the road. On the other hand, the MLAs and activists of Tipra Motha party sat on the road blockade on the national highway of Bathantganja Dewan Bazar and Raja Choumhani of Bathantganja to demand Greater Tipra land. They protested by hanging playing cards around their necks and throwing logs on the road. If their demands are not met, they will call a 72-hour bandh in the coming days and block all the roads in the state, warned Subodh Debbarma, MLA of Charilam Bidhan Sabha Constituency. On the other hand, Tipra Motha party workers protested in front of the headquarters gate of Khumuluwng and Baramura Sadhupara area. The Assam-Agartala National Highway has come to a standstill. In response to the 12-hour bandh called by Tipra Matha, the blockade started in the Gandachhara sub-district area from this morning. Starting from shops, traffic is almost at a standstill. There are no reports of any adverse events.

On the other hand, protesting in front of Ratanpur sub zonal office inhabited by Janjati in Rishyamukh Block area of South District along with the entire state to demand their rights for Greater Tipraland. Later the road blockade started. Mathar picketers blocked Bilonia Jolaibari main road since morning. As a result, vehicles and shops were closed in Ratanpur area. The leader of Tipra Matha party said that this bandh is aimed at realizing their rights. Even after seventy-six years of independence, the land sons of this state are deprived in many ways. After BJP came to power in the state in 2018, it promised to solve the problems of the people. Their demands will be fulfilled. But that demand has not yet been fulfilled. On this demand, Tipra Motha Dal workers and supporters blocked the road in front of Ratanpur sub zonal office in Hrishyamukh block area and protested against this demand. Besides, the impact of the ban has been noticed in Udaipur sub-division. The workers and supporters of Tipra Motha blocked the Udaipur-Atharbhola road in the area adjacent to Khupilong Bazar. Meanwhile, the strong impact of the 12-hour bandh called by Tipra Motha fell on the Manu railway station. Railway workers are on strike today.
