Ministry of Finance Allocates ₹240.5 Crore for Urban Development in Tripura

Agartala: Mar 27: The Ministry of Finance has approved a financial package of ₹240.5 crore to support urban planning and development initiatives in Tripura. The funds will be directed toward various projects across the state’s 20 municipal councils and urban panchayats.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha announced the development on social media, highlighting the key projects included under this allocation. These initiatives aim to improve access to drinking water, enhance flood management systems, install CCTV cameras, upgrade urban Anganwadi centers, and carry out riverbank development.

 

In his statement, the Chief Minister extended his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and the Minister for Urban Development for their support in securing the funds.
