Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday underscored the life-saving importance of blood donation, describing it as not only a noble social act but also a profound expression of humanity. “There is no substitute for blood. A single drop can give new life and new hope,” he said while addressing a blood donation camp held in South Indranagar.
The camp was organized as part of the 39th foundation day celebrations of M/S Jewel Enterprise. Commending the initiative, Chowdhury praised the organizers and donors for their selfless contribution to society. He extended warm wishes for their health and well-being, lauding their commitment to the greater good.
Highlighting the urgent need for voluntary blood donation, the Minister urged citizens to adopt it as a regular moral responsibility. “Let us all come forward—donate blood, save lives, and spread the light of love and humanity across the world. Your donated blood may be the reason someone survives tomorrow,” he emphasized.
Chowdhury also hailed the efforts of M/S Jewel Enterprise, describing their initiative as a beacon of inspiration. He said such efforts reflect the spirit of compassion and civic duty that strengthens communities and promotes social harmony.
The Minister noted that blood donation is a simple yet powerful act that bridges human connections and reinforces the values of empathy and service. He encouraged other organizations to follow the example set by Jewel Enterprise in promoting community welfare.
Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumdar and several dignitaries were also present at the event, expressing solidarity with the cause and applauding the company’s longstanding legacy of service and commitment to humanitarian values.
