Agartala April 19: After taking charge of the transport ministry, the state transport minister met the Union railway minister in Delhi with a view to take forward the work of the department with a new zeal. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury met Ashwini Vaishnab, Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronic and Information Technology Department of the Central Government in New Delhi on Wednesday and wished her Bengali New Year. Then Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury informed the Union Railway Minister about some important issues and problems related to the railway communication system of Tripura state.
He sought the Union Minister’s intervention and necessary help to resolve them. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab listened very patiently and earnestly to the issues raised by Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and agreed with the rationale of the demands. Realizing the importance of the demands, the Union Railway Minister assured to take appropriate action soon.
