Kailashahar, Dec 16:
A district-level review meeting was held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Kailashahar Circuit House to assess the implementation of key welfare schemes in Unakoti district. The primary objective of the meeting was to evaluate whether beneficiaries under various schemes of the three departments are receiving government facilities and assistance within the stipulated time frame during the financial year 2025–26. The Minister reviewed the progress of several beneficiary-oriented programmes and sought detailed reports from departmental officials on the status of implementation.

During the discussions, Minister Das closely examined both ongoing and newly launched projects, stressing the importance of timely execution and effective coordination among departments. He underlined that the success of government schemes depends largely on how efficiently benefits reach the intended beneficiaries at the grassroots level. Any delay, he said, undermines the purpose of welfare initiatives.

The Minister emphasized the need for transparency, accountability and inter-departmental cooperation to ensure smooth implementation of schemes related to animal husbandry, fisheries development and welfare of Scheduled Caste communities. He urged officials to adopt a proactive approach in identifying eligible beneficiaries and resolving issues that may arise during the delivery of services.

Minister Das also instructed officials to strengthen field-level monitoring and conduct regular inspections to track the progress of projects. He said that bottlenecks such as procedural delays, lack of coordination or logistical challenges should be addressed promptly to avoid disruption in service delivery.

Officials were further directed to maintain proper documentation and submit periodic progress reports to facilitate effective review and decision-making. The Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to inclusive development and equitable distribution of benefits, ensuring that welfare schemes translate into tangible improvements in the lives of people.

The meeting concluded with an assurance from departmental officials that necessary steps would be taken to expedite implementation and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries in Unakoti district receive government support in a timely and effective manner.
