Agartala: Jan 02: A virtual meeting was held on Thursday at the Secretariat’s conference hall, attended by principals of various universities and colleges from different districts of the state, along with officials from the Tripura government’s Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Department, Transport Department, Traffic Police, and Higher Education Department. The meeting, led by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, aimed to discuss the collective efforts needed to make the initiative successful.

The meeting emphasized the importance of collaboration among various departments and educational institutions to ensure the success of the planned events. During the discussions, the Minister focused on the role of universities and colleges in spreading awareness among students regarding crucial issues like consumer protection, road safety, and the dangers of drug abuse. The active participation of the educational institutions was seen as vital for reaching a larger audience and creating a long-term impact.

The various departments involved in the initiative are working together to organize the quiz and rally, which will provide students with the opportunity to engage actively in these awareness programs. The quiz competition will test their knowledge about consumer rights, road safety measures, and the harmful effects of drugs, while the rally will help in spreading messages on these topics in a more direct and public manner.

The collective efforts of the Tripura government departments and educational institutions aim to engage students in meaningful activities that not only increase their awareness but also promote a safer and more responsible society. This initiative is expected to foster greater awareness and responsibility among the youth regarding important social issues.
