Agartala January 4: Mayor Deepak Majumder inaugurated the crematorium located at Ward No. 2 of West Narayanpur under Barajala Assembly Constituency after renovation. Councilor Sharmishtha Bardhan, former MLA Doctor Dilip Das, Mayor-in-Council Gautam Chand and others were present.

Addressing the media after the inauguration ceremony, the mayor said that after the formation of BJP-led Agartala Municipal Corporation, work is being done to beautify the city of Agartala. In particular, to solve the problems of the people, the Municipal Corporation is working on lighting system, repairing roads, constructing drains, and renovating the crematorium. Meanwhile, this great crematorium suffered from lack of renovation for a long time. So this crematorium has to be renovated. So that people do not have any problems. Especially drinking water has been provided in this crematorium and a shed has been constructed for cremation friends. 5 lakh rupees have already been spent on the renovation of this crematorium. The mayor expressed the opinion that the surrounding people will benefit from this cremation.
