Many picketers were arrested in different parts of the state during bandh

Agartala, August 28: The bandh called by TSF to demand the use of Roman script in the Kakborak language failed in the capital, but it had a wide impact in several parts of the state. The bandh will continue from 6 am today till evening. Madhav Bari area of Jirania, Champak Nagar, Chandra Sadhupara in the state. , Baramura ie Hataiqatar, Hejamara, Bishramganj and Manughat are on bandh. The road has been blocked. Many vehicles are being blocked. Starting from government employees, common people are in trouble. Many people could not go to the office court due to the ban.

On this day, the picketers of TSF blocked the national road in Dewanbazar area of Swatganj. They demonstrated by burning tires. Heavy police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at the spot to bring the situation under control.

Besides, the picketers demonstrated by surrounding the police car in Hataiqatar. The picketers clashed with the police. Extreme chaos ensued. The police arrested the picketers later.

Incidentally, the Tipra Students Federation has called for a 12-hour Tripura bandh today to demand the use of Roman letters in Kakborak language. The bandh was supported by the Roman Script Folk Kakborak Choba Bar SKC organization. There have been many earlier movements to Romanize the Kakborak language. In this regard, from the governor of the state to the chief minister, but no action was taken by them. As a result, the organization has called for the complete success of the 12-hour Tripura Bandh called by the Tipra Students Federation.
