The prime suspect in this tragic incident is Jyotish Sarkar, Das’s brother-in-law. Zaharlal Das, the victim’s brother, promptly alerted the police about the gruesome discovery.

Zaharlal Das recounted that he was awakened by his brother’s screams. Upon rushing to the scene, he encountered Jyotish Sarkar, who stood over Narayan Das’s body, brandishing a bloodstained knife. Zaharlal managed to subdue Sarkar and secured him with a rope.

Law enforcement swiftly arrived at the location, apprehending Sarkar. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is now underway.

According to police sources, Das and Sarkar had shared an evening of alcohol consumption at Das’s residence on the preceding Wednesday night. Authorities suspect that a heated argument between the two men may have tragically escalated into murder.
