Agartala: Jan 01: On the first day of the English New Year, Neermahal experienced a significant influx of tourists. The long queue of visitors at the Rajghat ticket counter indicated the enthusiasm of the people to spend the first day of the year with joy and excitement. The Rudrasagar Cooperative Society authorities expressed their delight at the large turnout.

The substantial crowd on the first day suggests that Neermahal Palace in Melaghar is becoming increasingly popular among tourists. The light and sound show at Neermahal, which had been closed for a long time, was reopened in December last year during the Promo Fest. This reopening is believed to have contributed to the overwhelming number of tourists on the banks of Rudrasagar.

Pabitra Das and Parmeshwar Das, the president and secretary of the Rudrasagar Cooperative Society, respectively, stated that the number of tourists is expected to increase further in the coming days. This influx of visitors demonstrates that Neermahal is once again capturing the interest of travel enthusiasts.
