Patna, Oct 15 — The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [LJPRV], led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, on Wednesday released its first list of 14 candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. The party, allotted 29 seats under the NDA seat-sharing arrangement, is expected to announce the remaining candidates shortly.

Sharing the list on social media, LJPRV stated, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections announced under the guidance of our national president and Union Minister, Chirag Paswan. We have full confidence that all of you will contribute significantly to realising the dreams of ‘Bihar First-Bihari First’ and to the all-round development of Bihar.”

The announcement follows intense negotiations within the NDA over seat allocation. Chirag Paswan had initially demanded 30 seats for his party and resisted compromise. After several rounds of discussions between Patna and Delhi, the BJP finally allotted 29 seats to LJPRV, clearing the path for an agreement.

Key names in the list include LJPRV state president Raju Tiwari from Govindganj (East Champaran), Hulas Pandey from Brahmapur (Buxar), and Chirag Paswan’s nephew Seemant Mrinal from Garkha (SC), Saran. Other candidates include Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Dehri, Rohtas), Sangeeta Devi (Balrampur, Katihar), Rani Kumari (Makhdumpur, Jehanabad), Prakash Chandra (Obra, Aurangabad), Sanjay Kumar (Bakhri, Begusarai), Babulal Shaurya (Parbatta, Khagaria), Mithun Kumar (Nathnagar, Bhagalpur), Sunil Kumar (Paliganj, Patna), Sanjay Kumar Singh (Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Saharsa), Vishnu Dev Paswan (Darauli, Siwan), and Surendra Kumar (Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai).

Earlier, BJP released its second list of candidates, while JD(U) announced 57 names. Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) have six seats each. Minor frictions remain over seats like Makhdumpur and Bodh Gaya, but leaders have assured amicable resolution.

The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.
