Agartala: Dec 20: The LDC Excellence Award was presented in a ceremony at the conference hall of the transmission office at 79 Tila in the capital on Tuesday. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma was present as the chief guest in this event organized by Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited. Also present were Electricity Department Secretary Bridgesh Pandey, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited Managing Director Debashish Sarkar and others.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma praised the employees of the Electricity Department. He said that before becoming a minister, he himself used to abuse the employees of the electricity department for the speed of electricity. But after becoming a minister, he himself can see the employees of the power department working day and night. The power department has done a lot of work. The power department is dealing with many challenges. 55 new sub stations have been constructed. On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma handed over the LDC Excellence Award to Debashish Sarkar, Secretary of the Electricity Department and Managing Director of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited. The presence of power department employees was noticeable in the event.
