Agartala September 4: IPFT will support two BJP candidates in the by-elections. The announcement was made by IPFT party working president Prem Kumar Riang after the central committee meeting of IPFT at Agartala Press Club on Monday. He said at present there is a coalition government of BJP and IPFT in the state.

Hence, out of this friendly relationship, the party has decided to support the BJP in the September 5 by-elections. Minister Shuklacharan Noyatia, President of IPFT and former Minister Prem Kumar Reang and others were also present. In today’s meeting, the party’s upcoming program was discussed along with organizational matters. The president of the party and former minister Prem Kumar Reang said that the meeting of the MCC committee of the party will be held in September. The date of that meeting will be decided in today’s meeting. He also said that the movement of IPFT will continue for the demand of Tipra land. This year’s meeting of the National Federation of New States Committee will be held in the state of Tripura. He said that there was a discussion about that meeting in today’s meeting.
