Inter-Ministerial Central Team Assesses Flood Damage in Kalyanpur

Agartala: August 30: An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) visited various devastated areas of Kalyanpur today to assess the damage caused by the severe floods.

The team included Mahesh Kumar, PK Mina, and Shashank Bhushan from the central ministry. They were accompanied by Khovai District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, ADM, Teliamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate Parimal Majumdar, SIO Mithon Dutta, and others. Additionally, JV Duati, the Director of the Central Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department, was part of the delegation.

The delegation visited Ghila Tali and Dakshin Ghila Tali Panchayats, where they inspected the steel bridge in Ghila Tali that was washed away by the floods. In the afternoon, the inter-central delegation held a review meeting in Teliamura. They visually assessed the extent of damage to agricultural land, water bodies, houses, and roads in Kalyanpur.
