Illegal narcotics seized with Rs 56 lakhs

Agartala March 22: Police of Sidhai police station managed to seize yaba tablets and ganja along with cash stored illegally in the house. Police have arrested one person. It is known that for the past few days there have been allegations of drug trafficking in Gopalnagar area under Sidhai Mohanpur police station.

On the basis of that complaint, the police raided Amrit Pal’s house in Gopalnagar area on Tuesday night and seized a large quantity of ganja, yaba tablets worth 56 lakh rupees. Police arrested a person. The police have started the investigation of the incident by taking a case under the NDPS section against the accused person. The accused is being interrogated by the police. Police believe many others may be involved with the accused.
