Agartala: August 09:A tragic incident occurred in Sonamura where a home tutor named Humayun Mashi was allegedly murdered by a TSR (Territorial Army) Jawan, Giyas Uddin. The incident took place near the Sonamura Post Office.

Reports indicate that Giyas Uddin surrendered to the Sonamura police station after the incident.

According to details, the deceased home tutor had been residing at the TSR Jawan’s residence. Giyas Uddin suspected that the tutor was having an illicit relationship with his wife, leading to several arguments between the two men. On Friday afternoon, when the home tutor visited the Jawan’s residence, a heated argument ensued. The Jawan, upon finding his wife and the tutor together, allegedly attacked the tutor with a sharp weapon, causing fatal injuries.

The incident has caused significant unrest in the locality.
