Agartala: Nov 27: The arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a prominent advocate for minority rights in Bangladesh and associated with ISKCON Bangladesh, has sparked widespread shock and protests. Last Monday, he was detained by the Bangladesh police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, despite no formal charges being filed against him. The arrest is believed to be linked to his leadership in movements advocating for the safety and rights of minority communities, particularly Hindus, in Bangladesh.

This development has triggered strong reactions from the Hindu Sanatan community in Tripura, India. On Wednesday, the Hindu Sanatan Sena organized a protest march in the capital, Agartala, starting from the Circuit House. The procession, which included a large number of participants, marched through various roads to the office of the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh. The protesters condemned the Bangladesh government, accusing it of failing to protect the rights of its minority citizens and of persecuting religious leaders like Chinmoy Krishna Das.

They demanded the immediate release of Chinmoy Krishna Das and called for an end to the ongoing atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh. The protesters also warned that if their demands were not met, Sanatan Dharma followers around the world would unite in further protests.

In summary, the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari has led to significant unrest, with accusations that the Bangladesh government is targeting religious leaders advocating for minority rights. The Hindu Sanatan community in Tripura has strongly protested, demanding justice and the cessation of persecution against minorities in Bangladesh.
