GRP Arrests Two Indian Touts with Assistance from Sonamura Police and BSF

Agartala: Oct 17: Based on a tip-off, the Government Railway Police (GRP), with the assistance of Sonamura Police Station and the Border Security Force (BSF), successfully arrested two Indian touts. The police had been attempting to apprehend these individuals for a considerable time. GRP Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tapas Das made this announcement while addressing journalists today.

OC Tapas Das stated, “The police had been trying to arrest two residents of Matinagar Gila Mora, accused of assisting Bangladeshis in entering the state, for a long time. Acting on a tip-off early this morning, and with the assistance of the BSF, they were arrested from that area. They facilitated the entry of Bangladeshis into the state and their travel to other states through Agartala Railway Station. The arrested individuals are Shahidul Islam and Yunus Mia.” He further informed that they will be produced in court today, with the police seeking their remand.
