Agartala, Aug 5: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday paid a visit to the Super Specialty Block of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital to assess the quality of healthcare infrastructure and patient services being provided at the premier medical facility.
During his visit, the Governor conducted a thorough inspection of key departments including the Operation Theatre Complex, Neurology Ward, Plastic Surgery Ward, Urology Ward, and Gastroenterology Ward. He interacted directly with several patients, inquiring about their health conditions and the treatment they were receiving, thereby gaining firsthand insight into the hospital’s service delivery.
Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital, provided the Governor with a detailed briefing on the range of healthcare services and advanced medical facilities available in the Super Specialty Block.
Governor Reddy was accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) Arup Kumar Saha, Principal of AGMC, along with senior doctors and departmental heads from various specialties. The hospital authorities highlighted recent developments, including improvements in diagnostics, surgical care, and patient support systems.
