Governor Indra Sena Reddy Attends MBB University’s First Convocation in Agartala

Agartala, May 29: In a landmark moment for higher education in Tripura, Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University held its first-ever convocation ceremony today at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. The event was graced by Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, who attended the occasion as the Chief Guest, alongside Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.

The convocation marked a significant milestone for the university, which has grown steadily since its establishment. Students, faculty members, dignitaries, and proud parents gathered to witness the historic ceremony, during which degrees were conferred upon graduating students from various disciplines.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Indra Sena Reddy congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of education in shaping a responsible and progressive society. “This convocation is not just a celebration of academic achievement but a commitment to serve the society with knowledge, integrity, and purpose,” he said.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also addressed the students and faculty, highlighting the role of MBB University in advancing higher education in Tripura. “This university has emerged as a beacon of academic excellence. I urge the graduating students to take the values and skills they have gained here and contribute positively to the development of our state and the nation,” he said.

The event concluded with the ceremonial oath-taking by the graduates and the presentation of degrees and awards. Several meritorious students were also felicitated for their academic achievements.

The first convocation of MBB University stands as a proud moment for Tripura’s academic community and reflects the government’s commitment to promoting quality education and youth empowerment in the state.
