With the initiative of government degree college of GDC OBSERVED 133rd BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF DR. B.R AMBEDKAR. Amar Pur, 19th of April 2023. With the initiative of government degree college of Khumulwng 133rd birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar has been observed here in government degree college conference hall in Khumulwng, West Tripura today. As per the report of the college assistant professor Maharani Hrangkhawl, a large number of college, students as well as other dignitaries have taken part in this birth anniversary programme. Sources said, under the guidance & supervision of the GDC professors of Khumulwng this anniversary programme has conducted with due respect and dignity through what genuine knowledge has been provided to the youngster participants over the father of the Indian constitution. Dr. BR Ambedkar, famously known as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, was one of the greatest and prominent leaders that India has ever seen. He was born on 14th of April 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. He is the author of India’s constitution and is known as the pilot of the Indian Constitution. Dr. Ambedkar was a prominent social reformer, jurist and politician. Ambedkar is popularly known as the ‘Father of the Indian Constitution’. After India’s independence, Ambedkar was appointed as the Minister for Law.
He was nominated as the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee who was given the duty of drafting the Indian Constitution. The constitution was thus adopted on 26th Nov 1949, whereas it came into force on 26th Jan 1950. Ambedkar was an astute constitutional expert; he had reviewed the constitutions of around 60 nations and then drafted the Indian Constitution. This birth anniversary programme has given a clear image of identity of the father of Indian constitution amidst the youngsters of the programme. Amidst the distinguished participants there were Subrata Debbarma, principal in charge, Pradip Debbarma, T.C secretary, Bela Debbarma, office superintendent, college students, parents and many other remained present in the observation.
