According to reports, the fire was first noticed near Barajala School, where locals saw flames erupting from the gas pipeline. In response, the NCC Fire Service was alerted, and one engine arrived at the scene within minutes. Firefighters worked for about 15 minutes to contain the fire, but due to a shortage of water, they called for additional support. A second engine from Kunjban Fire Service arrived, successfully extinguishing the fire.

An NCC Fire Service official stated that they rushed to the site immediately after receiving the report and, with the help of Kunjban firefighters, managed to bring the fire under control. However, they expressed concerns that the fire could have caused significant damage to nearby homes.

Local authorities have raised concerns over the unprotected gas pipeline running along the roadside for an extended period. They fear that malicious individuals could exploit the situation for sabotage. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
