Agartala April 23: Four youths lost nearly 19 lakh rupees in the clutches of fraudsters. Instead, four youths did not get jobs in Canada. Helpless, they filed a complaint against the fraudster in the West District and Sessions Court. They alleged that a fraudster from Chandigarh looted 19 lakh rupees from five youths by luring them with a job of 3.5 lakh rupees per month in Canada.
The complaint is against Gurujit Singh, the head of a company called ‘Global Immigration Services’ in Chandigarh. The affected youth filed a complaint in the West District and Sessions Court. The youths are Chandan Das Antar Das Santu Das, Ratan Das, Parimal Das. They are all residents of Agartala. They further alleged that the fraudster Gurujit Singh claimed that a visa to Canada would be issued if each person was paid four lakh rupees. But after paying a total of Rs 19 lakh, Gurjit Singh has not been in any contact for the last one and a half months. He is not picking up the phone. A written complaint was made in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in this regard, 420 of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act. Case number CRMISC 31/2023.
