Four ganja smugglers were arrested by the police while smuggling ganja using novel methods!!
On a tip-off, a team of police led by OC Subrata Chakraborty of Teliyamura police station in Khoai Tripura district led an anti-narcotics operation and seized a large amount of ganja and a passenger auto car while taking four ganja smugglers to foreign countries for the purpose of smuggling ganja.
While informing the media about the whole matter, OC Subrata Chakraborty said that through a secret source, a passenger auto was moving suspiciously from Khamarbari locality of Khoai Tripura in the dark of night and based on the secret information, the auto car was seized and searched and it was seen that the passenger auto car number TR01F 3776 was in the car. After interrogating them, the police arrested two more ganja smugglers from the railway station at Teliamura Shibbari. The seized amount of ganja is about 50 kg Police estimates that the estimated market value of the ganja could be around Rs 75 lakh
OC Subrata Chakraborty also said that the police seized an iron ball along with some ganja from the ganja smugglers.
After questioning them, it was found that it is the lid of the water tank in the railway compartment Originally they made it themselves and brought it with them to facilitate the smuggling of ganja So that by breaking the lid of the water tank of the railway, placing the packet of ganja inside the tank and putting the lid made by them on the tank, they can smuggle ganja. However, the police sources have claimed that the arrested four ganja smugglers will be investigated and tried to find out who is involved in the case.
The persons arrested in the smuggling case are Amit Devavarma, Daniel Devavarma, Shamim Sheikh, Jodha Devavarma. Out of these three are in Tripura and one is in West Bengal
