Four Drug Dealers Arrested in Agartala

Agartala: Feb 25: On Tuesday, the police from Purba Agartala police station conducted a special operation in the area adjacent to MBB College and Anandamayi Ashram in Agartala, resulting in the arrest of four drug dealers.

In line with the state’s ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities, the police have been actively conducting anti-drug operations across various districts. These measures are being carried out under the direction of Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, as part of the initiative to create a drug-free Tripura. During this particular operation, the Purba Agartala police successfully detained four individuals involved in drug dealings.

Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Devprasad Roy stated that a significant quantity of banned drugs, including heroin, 210 drug sale boxes, cash amounting to Rs 5,000, and a bike, were recovered from the arrestees.

Officer Roy further mentioned that the anti-drug operations will persist, and strict action will be taken against those involved in drug-related activities.
