Agartala: Sept 07: On Saturday, the All India Women Workers’ Coordination Committee of CITU organized a protest march to demand stricter implementation of laws against violence towards women, ensure the safety of women workers in all workplaces, and stop sexual harassment in the workplace. The protest also called for exemplary punishment for those guilty of the murder and rape of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College.

The march was led by former Chief Minister wife Panchali Bhattacharjee, who emphasized that the safety of women in the workplace was the highest priority of the day’s protest.
