Former BJP MLA expelled for alleged anti-party activities

Agartala: Nov 30: Arun Chandra Bhowmik, a former BJP MLA and invited member of the state BJP, has been expelled on charges of anti-party activities.

Today, the state has issued a notification on behalf of the BJP. Former BJP MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik has been expelled for six years for anti-party activities. The decision was made by the State President of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee.

According to the source that the involvement of the MLA in activities that are against the interests of the party and its objectives is not conducive to the principles we uphold.

“As a result, his membership within the BJP has been revoked, and he is no longer affiliated with BJP in any capacity,” said the source.
