Agartala: May 31: In a concerning incident, family members of a 1-year-old child have accused the dressing room staff at IGM Hospital of negligence in child care. According to their account, they had to endure a 30-minute wait for service because the staff on duty in the dressing room was conspicuously absent.
The situation unfolded when the child suffered burns from hot water. Distressed and seeking immediate aid, the family rushed the child to IGM Hospital. The attending doctors advised them to visit the dressing room for wound care after examining the child. However, upon reaching the dressing room, they were met with an unexpected challenge: no staff members were present.
Despite diligent efforts by private security guards and family members, the dressing room staff remained elusive for half an hour. Meanwhile, the child’s cries of pain added to the tension in the hospital premises. Eventually, the doctor on duty intervened and administered medicine to the child’s wound.
In response to the allegations, the dressing room staff denied any absence. The incident highlights the importance of prompt and efficient service in healthcare facilities, especially during critical moments.
