Agartala: Apr 07: Bishnupur and Bangalaju villages, situated on the Tripura state border, are grappling with significant losses caused by a powerful storm that struck just before the arrival of the Baishakhi season.

In Sunday afternoon sudden tornado and hail storm destroyed many houses and roofs, collapsed in the affected areas. Farmers’ vegetable gardens and home crops suffered severe damage. Trees were uprooted, and electric poles toppled, plunging large areas into darkness.The storm has caused immense hardship for the local population. Homeless individuals are seeking shelter by using tarpaulins. Many residents are worried about rebuilding their homes.

The affected people have urgently appealed to local authorities, including MLA Jadablal Nath, the Chief Minister, and the District Magistrate, to intervene and provide government assistance to address the crisis.

This natural disaster has left the communities in distress, and their plea for support underscores the need for swift action to alleviate their suffering. Authorities are urged to assess the situation promptly and extend aid to those affected by this devastating storm.
