Dr. Vishal Kumar, the Returning Officer for the West Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency and District Magistrate, was in attendance along with other election officials. Dr. Kumar provided insights into the logistics of the election, noting that approximately 1000 EVMs have been allocated for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat and the Ramnagar center by-election. Of these, 793 machines are designated for use in polling stations, while the remainder will serve as a reserve.

Addressing potential concerns about the reliability of the EVMs, Dr. Kumar assured that measures are in place to ensure a smooth electoral process. In the event of a mechanical issue with any EVM, alternative arrangements are ready to prevent any disruption to the polling. With these preparations, the returning officer expressed confidence that the election will proceed without complications, reflecting the robustness of the electoral system in place.
