Agartala: Mar 05: A group of over 500 employees working under the Tripura Vidyut Nigam through a private company staged a protest on Wednesday outside their employer’s office in Joy Nagar. The employees, employed by Advanced Route Technology Information Private Limited for the past two years, voiced grievances over non-payment of their salaries for the last five months.

According to the protesting workers, they have only received partial compensation during this period, with one month’s salary being disbursed each month instead of clearing the pending dues. Efforts to resolve the issue with company officials have reportedly yielded no progress, leading the employees to take collective action.

The protesters issued a statement warning that if the outstanding salaries are not settled within a week, they are prepared to escalate their demonstration to a larger-scale movement.

For now, employees from various parts of the state remain steadfast in their demand for immediate resolution of the issue. Further updates are awaited regarding the company’s response to their demands.
