Agartala: Sept 30: The Electricity Department is gearing up to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming Durga Puja and Diwali festivals. Given the increased demand for electricity during these festive periods, the department has undertaken several measures to maintain a stable power supply across the state.

The department has also focused on restoring power supply in areas affected by recent floods. Employees who worked tirelessly during the flood relief operations will receive a one-time financial incentive. Over 4,294 employees will benefit from this incentive, ranging from ₹400 to ₹1700. Additionally, the department has approved the promotion of 574 helpers to the post of linemen.
