Durga Mandap burnt to ashes, Chief Minister Visits the spot, assures assistance to the victims

Agartala, October 18: A major incident took place in the capital city of Agartala in the festive atmosphere. The puja mandap and the structure of the Durga idol were burnt to ashes after the fire. The fire brigade rushed to the spot half an hour after the Durga Puja organizers complained about the fire at the Blood Sun Club in capital Ujan Abhaynagar. Denying the allegation, a fireman claimed that they rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within one and a half minutes after receiving the information. The chief minister visited the spot after receiving the news, he directed the District Magistrate to look into the matter of helping the victims from the Disaster Relief Fund. Besides, he ordered to investigate the fire incident and take action. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited Blood Sun Club this afternoon.

Three fire engines rushed to the spot to bring the fire under control. The fire came under control after a long effort by the fire brigade. A firefighter believes that the fire started from an electrical short circuit. In that incident, sensation spread in the whole area.
