On Friday morning, a foul smell emanating from the abandoned house prompted local residents to investigate. They found the decomposed body of Badal Chandra Sarkar and immediately informed the Bishalgarh police station. The police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The Bishalgarh police have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun an investigation. Initial assumptions suggest that Badal Chandra Sarkar died two to three days ago.
