As part of the nationwide Special Mediation Campaign, a public awareness rally was held today in Agartala, with judges from the judiciary participating.

As part of the nationwide Special Mediation Campaign, a public awareness rally was held today in Agartala, with judges from the judiciary participating. Organized by the West District Legal Services Authority, the rally started from the Agartala Court premises and proceeded through various streets of the city.

Participants included West District and Sessions Judge Subhasis Sharma Roy, Family Court Judge Hrishikesh Chakraborty, State Legal Services Authority Member Secretary Jhuma Dutta Choudhury, Chief Judicial Magistrate Saikat Das, along with other judges. Lawyers, court staff, and legal aid volunteers (Nyay Mitras) also joined the rally.

It is noteworthy that the special mediation campaign is being conducted nationwide from July 1 to September 30. In Tripura, nearly 1,000 cases have been sent to mediation centers for resolution under this initiative. According to Member Secretary Jhuma Dutta Choudhury, the process is being carried out not only in the High Court but also in mediation centers established in every district of the state.
