During the review, Das assessed whether beneficiaries identified under various schemes for the 2026–27 financial year were receiving government assistance and other facilities within the stipulated timeframe.

The Minister stressed the importance of timely delivery of benefits, saying effective implementation of welfare programmes was essential to maintain public confidence and ensure that government assistance reached intended beneficiaries.

Das also held detailed discussions with officials on the progress of ongoing and proposed departmental projects. He directed the departments concerned to identify and remove bottlenecks that could slow implementation and asked officials to expedite work wherever necessary.

The Minister emphasised that delays in executing projects could directly affect people dependent on government schemes for livelihood support, social security and development opportunities.

The review focused particularly on improving coordination among departments and ensuring accountability at different levels of administration. Das made it clear that officials should closely monitor implementation and take necessary measures to ensure benefits reach people at the grassroots without unnecessary delays.

He also stressed the need for efficient utilisation of government resources, maintaining that funds allocated for welfare and development programmes should result in tangible benefits for citizens.

Officials briefed the Minister on the implementation status of various schemes and projects undertaken by the three departments in Dhalai district. Issues concerning beneficiary coverage, delivery timelines and project execution were also discussed during the meeting.

The review forms part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen monitoring of welfare schemes at the district level and improve service delivery.

Das reiterated that beneficiary-centric governance should remain a priority and asked officials to work with greater coordination and efficiency to ensure government programmes achieve their intended objectives.

The meeting concluded with emphasis on timely project execution, accountability and effective delivery of welfare benefits to eligible beneficiaries across Dhalai district.
