Agartala: April 16: In a recent development, Biplap Kumar Deb, the BJP candidate for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat, has raised concerns about the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM’s election manifesto. Deb’s criticism centers around the manifesto’s stance on nuclear disarmament, including the elimination of chemical and biological weapons, as well as other weapons of mass destruction. According to Deb, this move by the CPM reflects an alarming disregard for the country’s security system

Deb also questioned the alignment of certain leaders within the INDI alliance in Tripura. Those who previously opposed the CPM’s compromise with Congress in West Bengal have now joined hands. Deb believes that the historical context of these alliances will be evident in the upcoming election results. Furthermore, he criticized the Indi alliance for releasing separate manifestos at the state level, contrasting it with the BJP-NDA alliance’s past practice of setting a common agenda. Deb’s pointed question is whether RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, if victorious in all Bihar seats, would have the authority to decide the Prime Minister.

Biplab Kumar Deb’s strong stance against the CPM-Congress alliance highlights his concern for national security. He views their manifesto as unfortunate for the country, emphasizing that the focus should be on safeguarding India rather than pleasing external powers.
